  • Results of a survey achieved on 474 children :
    - At the age of 6-7 years, an atopie is present for 33,6% of the children not having been exposed to the presence of the cats during their first years of life, for 34,3% of the children to only 1 cat and and for15,4% of the children exposed to at least 2 cats (p = 0,005).

  • Conclusion
The exhibition to at least two cats during the first years of life can reduce the ulterior risk of sensitivity allergic to multiple allergens during the childhood.

See a cat entering for the first time in a room; he visits, he watches, he smells, he doesn't remain one moment in rest, he doesn't trust anything that after having examined everything, all known. Makes an early child thus to walk, and, incoming so to speak in the space of the world. The whole difference is that to the view, common to the child and to the cat, the first joint, to observe, the hands that the nature gave to him, and the other the subtle smell of which it endowed it. This disposition, well or badly cultivated, is what returns the skillful or heavy, heavy or fresh, lightheaded or prudent children."
