In work periods, it is not rare that the cats rub on the coldly painted walls. Temptation is then large for the owner to clean his animal with the white spirit when this one came to rub a little too extremely on the walls like on the doors and frames or painting is still smoothing itself.

 The hairs of the cat are then stuck and difficult to comb. Cleaning with the white spirit is not without danger.

Indeed, this one is a very volatile oil distillate which can involve various symptoms in the cat. The cutaneous contamination is very frequent. It generally involves a strong inflammatory reaction with more or less strong pains, rednesses even a cutaneous edema on the skin of your animal. 

Your animal can be also poisoned by respiratory tract at the time of the inhalation of the product (it can also go in reversed product) but also at the time of licking of its peeling.

The cat with difficulties in breathing sometimes very important, it coughs and a pulmonary edema can even settle and at the time of the ingestion of the product, an irritation of the digestive tract appears. A frequent salivation and vomiting are then observed. Digestive ulcers can occur.

To avoid all these serious disadvantages, if your cat received white spirit on the hairs, as soon as possible clean it using water and of the soap or concentrated shampoo. If your cat has ingested the product, lead it directly in the veterinary surgeon who will give him a specific treatment. The forecast of this type of  intoxication is variable, it depends on the quantity of swallowed product, the importance of the symptoms and the speed of installation of the treatment.
